|I don't draw half my drawings half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of them half as well as they deserve.|
hello here is turin and beleg, everyone’s favorite dysfunctional besties, to improve
ruin your day
This basically started as an exercise in trying to figure out how I imagine Turin to look in those early pre-Saeros-killing days when he was just a foster-son of Thingol who preferred orc-hunting with Beleg to spending time in Menegroth (it is HARD to draw a boy who is a dirty orc-killer but who is also fair enough to be an elf AND who is Morwen the stunningly-beautiful's son). Then Beleg snuck his way in to: 1) Reveal that according to my imagination he has very strange hair, and 2) Judge Turin's tangle-y, headlice-y locks. Saeros judges with malice; Beleg judges with affection.

I'm mainly a writer but have begun working increasingly upon my art this past year or so. I'm pretty much self-taught, so I'm not the best or most refined artist, but I do try to improve. I play with inks, pencils, charcoal, and watercolor paints mainly. Usually I draw what I love, which means lots of Tolkien art and art inspired by various books (English major here and a massive bookworm) and also some television shows. Oh, and Cabin Pressure because it is BRILLIANT.|
I seem to be very into The Silmarillion right now. It happens.
I also post my art to tumblr, so you are welcome to find me there too. Thanks for stopping by
